Once again Pixar has an amazing film. I wasn’t expecting it to be quite as serious and touching as it was. Out of them all, this is the one that gave us the least to go on story-wise. Old man, boy scout, flying house, bird, talking dog. How do all those fit together? They do, and it’s a moving adventure worth seeing more than once.

The Brothers Bloom

Really good film. One of those you may have to see multiple times to see all the setups that are taking place right before your eyes.

It has a great opening sequence that really pulls you in and gives you all the basis you need for the characters. You can see it at http://brothersbloom.tumblr.com/tagged/vids.

Terminator: Salvation

While I really enjoyed all the action scenes, the rest of the film just fell apart. Characters you don’t care for and make really stupid, out of character decisions.

And please. Stop this already… When a character dies and you beat on their chest and electrocute them to bring them back to life. At least with Crank 2: High Voltage, it was mocking the whole thing.

Star Trek

The hype and praise so far for this Star Trek reboot is pretty amazing and the film itself is really good, particularly to existing fans. It’s quite literally a reboot of the franchise. Really, really good. The most entertaining film I’ve seen so far this year.
