This is what I’m talking about. The funniest film I’ve seen in a quite a long time. Highly recommended.
I thought this was going to be more about Salvador Dali. While it had a very small piece of his life in it, it was a bit more about Federico García Lorca. They both had a relationship almost homosexual, but not quite all the way.
Can’t say I liked this film at all. I think the popularity of Rob Pattinson had the marketing team overblowing his Dali performance making you think it was more about that, so the previews are misleading in a way. Boring. And whoever took care of Dali’s moustache must have had a hard time. Being thin, it would float around Pattinson’s lip from cut to cut during a single scene. Distractingly so.
What a fun, awesome film this was. I’m a huge fan of the Evil Dead films (mostly 2) and it feels like Sam Raimi, the director of all of them, had a really fun time getting back to horror after losing his mind on Spider-man 3, which is the only way I can explain the song and dance number.
Drag Me to Hell is just fun. More movies like this please.
